Today, you’ll fly from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit. Arrive at Hoedspruit Airport where you’ll be met and transferred to Baobab Ridge in the Klaserie Reserve. Check in for 3 nights on a full-board basis with game drives and guided walks.
Tucked away in the private Klaserie Reserve, this lodge likes to introduce you to Big Five country. Sharing a fenceless border with the Kruger National Park as well as other legendary private reserves, Klaserie is where lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard are all regularly sighted. Today you’ll transfer back to Hoedspruit and then fly to Cape Town. Arrive at Cape Town and transfer by road to the Winchester Mansions close to the V&A Waterfront for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.
Situated along the scenic Sea Point Promenade and facing the Atlantic Ocean, with the majestic backdrop of Table Mountain, Winchester Mansions in Cape Town is an iconic seafront hotel. It has maintained its original Cape Dutch architecture and is popular among local and international guests.
Your location means you are just a short walk away from beautiful promenade as well as the popular hop-on, hop-off bus which stops at all the major destinations in and around Cape Town, including Kirstenbosch Gardens and Camps Bay beach. Included in your Cape Town itinerary is a guided nature tour of the peninsula, taking in penguins and Cape Point plus wildlife, amazing flowers and stunning views.

After breakfast and last relaxed morning, you will be transferred by road to the Cape Town International Airport for your flight to Kigali International Airport for Gorillas. On Arrival, our professional English-speaking driver guide will pick you up and drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a Gorilla trekking experience the next day.
Main Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Gorilla trekking)
Accommodation: Four Gorillas Lodge
After breakfast, head out to the park head offices with a packed lunch while accompanied by your guide and have a briefing about the dos and Don’ts while in the park with gorillas. After that, head for gorilla trekking through the mist rainforest. Trekking can take 2 hours or up to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gentle giants. Make sure you carry enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, and rain jackets
At the end of this long and exciting adventure, you’ll return to the lodge for a well-deserved shower and relaxation.

The day begins with a delightful breakfast, after which you will return to the mainland and prepare to drive back to Kigali International Airport for your scheduled flight back home.

220 Volts/AC50Hz. Sockets are UK style, 3 pin square plugs. Power is from the government in the city/major towns and generator with inverter back up in the Safari Lodges and Camps.
Currency:
Foreign currency must be changed at the Bank, Bureau de Change, and Hotel/Safari lodge/Camp/Resort. Major Credit Cards, Master card, Visa, American Express, are usually accepted throughout the country. Where credit cards are accepted, the payment will normally be recorded in US$ regardless of the card’s default currency.
Clothing:
Dress is mainly informal and should be comfortable as well as practical. Something warm should be brought along for early morning and evenings. Safari clothes are available from hotels/lodges/camps.
Baggage:
Where possible, travel light. Baggage space on safari is limited to medium suitcase or soft bag per person plus reasonable amount of hand luggage. There is 15 Kilogram per person limit on all flights to the wildlife sanctuaries. Excess luggage must be stored in your arrival hotel.
Water:
You will find many different of opinion of what is safe and what is not. We recommend for peace of mind, to drink local Bottled Mineral water. It is important to drink plenty of water especially during the hotter months. We would recommend that guests drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water per day to limit the effects of dehydration.
Health;
South Africa is a safe and secure destination; however, it is a good idea to take a few precautions. Kindly consult your GP or local doctor at least 6 weeks before you travel, with regards: Malaria prophylactics. East Africa is a known malaria area and preventive measures are essential.
You are advised to take one of the recommended anti-malarial drugs. Be sure to wear long sleeved shorts and trousers after sunset and spray the exposed parts of your body with a mosquito repellent spray Remember to protect yourself from direct sun rays with sunscreen cream or safari hat.
